On the 3rd of June, the SpaceCoffee Aviation team took the 4 AM train to travel to the Rzeszów University of Technology to partake in the semi-finals of the Learn&Fly competition. With the finished Glider model, the team were to describe their project and constrcution work to the jury during a presentation session. Later came the flight contest part, where all teams performed throws of their planes, presenting their designs in practice.
The weather certainly didn’t help in achieveing high scores, but SC Aviation finished fifth in the throw-flights competiton. In light of the rain that surprised the contestants, the paper-coated Glider model suffered damage, but survived until the end of the throwing part.
The results came at 4 PM, finishing the semi-finals stage, where SC Aviation ended up sixth. After that long of day in Rzeszów, the team journeyed home ready for next year’s edition to redeem their results and conquer Learn&Fly once again.
