On April 11, 2026, members of the SpaceCoffee Student Scientific Assosciation took part in a unique event: the Game Music Concert 2026. The festival brings together game and music enthusiasts, while also providing an opportunity to promote the activities of Student Scientific Assosciations and a passion for creative work in the field of video games. The main organizer of the event is the Silesian Philharmonic.
The concert, which began at 6:00 p.m., was preceded by exhibitions organized by gaming-related organizations and the Student Research Clubs of the Silesian University of Technology. Representatives from the SpaceCoffee Student Scientific Assosciation prepared an exhibition of educational and exploratory games created during NASA Space Apps Hackathons specifically for the event. The exhibition portion lasted a total of 1.5 hours of the entire event, with the next 1.5 hours marking the highlight of the entire Game Music Fest—the Game Music Concert, a performance by the full symphony orchestra of the Silesian Philharmonic, featuring choirs from across Poland.
This concert is a one-of-a-kind celebration of music in video games and its significance to gamers. The program features iconic soundtracks from over 20 video game titles, including: Mortal Combat, DOOM, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us.
We would like to thank the festival organizers for the unforgettable experiences we gained from the concerts and workshops, as well as all guests interested in the activities of the SpaceCoffee Student Scientific Assosciation in the field of video games. We encourage you to look forward to future editions of Game Music Fest, and we wish all participants awaiting the film music concert at the Silesian Philharmonic on April 12 a wonderful experience!
