Members of our Club have recently finished the first part of their Project Based Learning work with the “Brain-computer-interface based numeric screen keyboard” project. The results were displayed during the “Projekt Politechnika” concluding Conference.
Their assignment was to design and build a program corresponding with an electroencephalographic (EEG) device, NextMind, to task its users with entering the ciphers of a PIN-code. The aim of the project is advancing in the research needed for the development of EEG-based technologies, possible to utilize in programs and systems designed for disabled people.
In addition, tests on a volunteer group were conducted to provide for predictability of the results.
Their research has been displayed in an article summarizing their findings during the Talent Detector international conference taking place at the Silesian University of Technology. View here
