On September 30, Katowice, now widely referred to in the media as the City of Science thanks to initiatives such as the Silesian Science Festival and Theme Weeks in the City of Science, hosted the Intercollegiate Inauguration of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. As representatives of SKN SpaceCoffee, we had the opportunity, together with other Scientific Assosciations operating at the Silesian University of Technology, to run a promotional exhibition as part of the science town on the Katowice market square. We told everyone interested about our activities as SKN and our experiences as students of the Silesian University of Technology. In addition to our exhibition, there was also a discussion panel, a Radio Katowice tent, and performances by folk groups.
The exhibition in the market square ended with a procession of rectors to the Inaugural Gala, held in the NOSPR concert hall. Many distinguished and prominent guests, together with the rectors of Silesian universities, celebrated the start of the new academic year. The event culminated in a concert performed by the Silesian University of Technology Symphony Orchestra.
