During the first weekend of October, a teams of six of SC members traveled to Stalowa Wola to take part in the biggest space industry-themed hackathon by NASA. They set out to complete the Challenge (one of the topics published by NASA): Beyond Sunlight: An Aquatic Chemosynthetic World, with an idea of a game fully created by them, presenting an interactive visualization of alien life possibly existing on Europa – one of Jupiter’s moons.
After thousands of brain-stormed ideas, liters of drunk coffee and tea, and 30 hours of work, they completed their work content with their accomplishments. Of course, the game wasn’t fully completed – a motivation for the SpaceCoffee hackathon team to keep up their works after the event came to an end. Space Apps Challenge is a one-of-a-kind experience the SC team contestants loved, getting to share their fascination with space exploration and interests in space technologies.
